While the FAA Advisory Circular confines the input and output current to 6.60 or 20.00 A and the IEC 61823 standard to just 6.60 A, Airfield Lighting Systems will supply AGLST with any input and output combination of 6.00, 6.25, 6.60, 8.33, 12.00, and 20.00 A, but otherwise built to IEC 61823. Designs with input and output currents up to 20.00 A with a 6.60 A output are available in any power rating from 30 to 300 watts. 500 watt AGLT can be supplied but only as Safety AGLST as they have high secondary no-load voltages and are outside the scope of the IEC 61823. A new AGLST, to the customer's own specification, for example a 250/8.33/6.25, can usually be designed and proved for manufacture within two weeks or less from the date the enquiry was placed.
